Who are we?Beaver Scouts is the first section in the Scout Family with girls and boys people aged between six and eight years old. We meet every Tuesday during term time, in The Well, at St. James Church between 5.45pm and 6.45pm. Beavers can be easily recognised by their distinctive turquoise sweatshirts. Like all the other sections in the group we wear a red scarf. What do we do?Beaver Scouts do lots during their program such as; making friends, playing games, going on visits and helping others. This term we will be continuing learning about aeroplanes and preparing to visit RAF Hendon. We're also working on some prayers and learning about each other! For more information on what Beavers do visit www.scouts.org.uk/beavers
Want to Join, more questions? If you have any questions or you'd like your son or daugther to join our Beaver colony or perhaps just come along to see what it's really like then please E-mail Jean Bailey, our Beaver Leader. You may also want to visit our documentation page to see a copy of our welcome pack. There is some flexibility in the age groups so young people can join Beaver Scouts in the three months leading up to their sixth birthday, if you're nearly 8 then Cubs may be better. Want to help out? We're also always on the look out for people to help out with the group. If you fancy being a leader or regular volunteer visit the Vacanices page for more details. If you want to help more informally, come along to teach a skill, give us an idea for an evening or anything else then please E-mail George Wrigglesworth, our Group Scout Leader. |
